EXCLUSIVE: Sanya Malhotra, Abhimanyu Dassani reveal how they bonded on sets of Meenakshi Sundareshwar

Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani’s latest romantic-comedy film, ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’ has been garnering huge appreciation from critics. The plot of the film is a newlywed couple named Meenakshi and Sundareshwar, who are in a long-distance marriage.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Sanya and Abhimanyu revealed how they bonded on the sets of their movie. The duo said that they bonded over “food.” Malhotra called Abhimanyu and the director Vivek Soni “foodies.” She revealed that because of them she could eat alot of delicious food.

Dassani revealed that because of Sanya they would work out together. Further, they also said that after the shooting they would go for a run in the evening. Vivek stated that it was a balance as Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani would eat in the morning and exercise in the evening, leaving them in splits!

Further, Vivek Soni spoke about directing intimate moments or a fight scene; he said that he loves to spend time with the actors even before getting into the script in order to know them in and out, which helps him get to know their personalities. “We then pick up things from their personal life and try to incorporate them in the script so that it becomes relatable to them,” said Vivek.

‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’ was released digitally on 5 November 2021 on Netflix.
